Stateland Breaks Ground on New Subdivision in Cavite

Washington Place, Stateland’s newest development located in Dasmariñas, Cavite is well on its way to becoming a major landmark along Aguinaldo Highway with the groundbreaking held last June 26, 2010.
The gray skies provided a perfect backdrop for the event, not sunny to make the guests uncomfortable but not raining to interrupt the momentous gathering. Though the development, comprising of 40 hectares of relatively flat terrain, is envisioned to be the grandest so far of Stateland’s portfolio of projects, the management chose to hold a simple yet meaningful ceremony with only the senior officers led by President Reynaldo T. Cometa, the various heads of departments chiefly involved in the project like Engr. William Chua of Planning and Production, Engr. Clod Calimutan of Land Development, Arch. Jerome Ilagan of Architectural Department and Engr. Roland Tarlac of Engineering Department and the division heads of the sales groups present.
A prayer led by Ms. Eleanor Olano of HRDD opened the program. The ceremonial laying of the time capsule followed immediately, participated in by the senior officers namely: Mr. Reynaldo T. Cometa, President; Ms. Elizabeth C. Chow, Executive Vice-President, Mr. Bievenido S. Uy, Senior Vice President; Ms. Mary C. Maquilan, FVP-Treasury and Ms. Delie U. Chua, VP-Marketing.
There was also the customary coin-throwing believed to usher in prosperity.
