Stateland, Inc. Supports PLDT-Smart Foundation´s advocacy of honoring our unsung heroes
“A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning” – Brad Henry

School is our second home and teachers are our second parents. They play a great part in molding us to who we are today. Without them, we’ll have no doctors, engineers, architects, journalists, lawyers among others. Without teachers, there will be no sharing of knowledge. Without teachers, the society that we live in will be at great risk. They are our usung heroes. Maybe a few only recognizes the vital role they play in our lives. Nonetheless, now is the time to pay them back. It is the time to change the lives of the people who have changed ours.

With this great motive in mind, five years ago, PLDT-Smart Foundation launched the Gabay Guro, an annual celebration dedicated to the teachers, nationwide. This is the company’s way of reaching out to the teachers by helping them in every aspect of their lives and providing them with different livelihood programs that will help them uplift their lives. For the past five years, teachers around the nation were greatly benefited by the different programs initiated by Gabay Guro. Many have won several gift prizes, and some were granted a new house and lots.

Stateland, Inc., being in the real estate business for more than three decades, and having more than 40 finished quality housing projects and seven on-going projects in their portfolio, share the same sentiment of providing quality housing opportunities for every Filipino families, including the families of our hard working teachers. With this, Stateland, Inc. partners with PLDT-Smart Foundation in supporting the advocacies of the 6th year of Gabay Guro. This year, Stateland, Inc. will be sponsoring the house and lot major grand prize in the Gabay Guro Grand Gathering to be held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on October 26, 2013. One lucky teacher will be given a chance to have his/her dream house.

Delie U. Chua, Stateland, Inc.’s First Vice President for Sales and Marketing said that they wanted to become a part of something that would honor the incredible works of a teacher, and Gabay Guro is a perfect venue to address that gratitude. “Teachers are very important in the society. More than just being an educator that teaches us a lot of school and academic stuff, our teachers are also our life companions and mentors. They teach us on how to become a better person that we are now and they open our eyes to all aspects of life. And we believe that as an organization engaged in community and housing development, we can do something to improve the lives of our teachers. Their hardworks

and sacrifices need to be recognized, and we believe that we all share that same advocacy” She added.

Gabay Guro is an avenue for us to finally express our sincerest gratitude to our beloved and dedicated teachers. And one great way of expressing that deep gratitude is by providing them not only sustainable livelihood programs but also their dream houses that will become their life’s sanctuary. Stateland proves itself worthy of its saying, “Your Dream, Our Commitment”, because truly, Stateland commits itself of turning every Filipinos’ dream of having their dream houses a reality.
